St. George’s has been featured in a number of documentaries which are available to the public. Toronto’s Houses of Worship, a program co-produced by Rogers Television and WNED/PBS Buffalo, includes extended footage of our edifice in a stunning line-up of Toronto’s major religious monuments. Also, Toronto’s acclaimed architectural program Structures presented the church in its Bond Street/Estates of Sunnybrook segment. Both documentaries may be purchased from Rogers Television (416- 446-7175).

Omni Television features St. George’s along with other Greek Orthodox churches of Toronto in its series Building Faith (Episode 5) which focuses on Greek Orthodox architecture. Greek and English versions of this program are available (416- 260-0047).

St. George’s is a veteran participant in the Toronto Culture Division’s annual Doors Open, held in late May. On this weekend our doors are open to the public and to date we have received thousands of visitors. Guided tours are offered on Saturday and Sunday.

Our community is preparing to celebrate its 100 year jubilee anniversary in 2009. We will be announcing plans to commemorate a century of Orthodoxy and Hellenism in Toronto.
